Ceyda Çaldıran
Hello, I'm Ceyda, I live in Beyoğlu, Istanbul. I came to Istanbul from Bursa for university exactly eight years ago . After getting accepted to Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University's Painting Department, I started to pursue my interest and curiosity in tattoos and became a professional tattoo artist.
How did you start your career? How is it going?
Tattoos were always an accessory that caught my attention. I am also a bit of an expressive person. When I graduated from fine arts high school, I already had a lot of piercings and tattoos. When I got to university and with the support of my friends, I started this business. Now, the tattoo industry has developed incredibly in the world. Turkey is one of the countries that trains conscious artists in this sector. It is going very well.
What is your motivation?
It is a great pleasure for me to leave a memory from people's lives and memories. At the same time, doing interactive work strengthens my communication with people. Having an individual space supports my personal creation process. My motivation is always to try new things and improve.
Describe your style in 3 words and how does it influence your creativity?
I think my style is my journey. If I were to describe it in three words, I would say street, chic and comfortable. My style keeps my creativity more dynamic, I always like to try new things.
